Our Vision
To create a loving, warm and homely atmosphere where each person is supported to experience each moment richly.
Our Values
We strive to achieve this vision by promoting:
- The uniqueness of each person
- The immense value of each person
- Openness, honesty and integrity
In these ways we enrich each person, the community and the world.
Doing Things Differently and Making it Work
We provide rest home secure dementia care, hospital psychogeriatric care, general hospital care and general rest home care. We also provide a dedicated respite service.
We have a number of areas in which we create a point of difference:
- providing a continuum of care for people with dementia
- providing care for people in small homes (commonly in groupings of 10)
- our homely atmosphere
- our vision and values
- coaching and mentoring of staff
- our education programme for caregivers
- our management structure
- the extent to which we encourage family member involvement in the care of their loved ones
We believe we provide a service to the families of residents as well as to the residents themselves. Our vision, values, and philosophies apply to residents, family, staff and all people who come through the Admatha, Avonlea, Millvale, Tasman and Aberleigh doors.
These are well communicated to residents, family and staff. We wish to do as we say we do, finding ways to put our vision and values into practice and evaluating the success of this.
Our consumers are at the top of our organizational chart. They are the reason for our business. We continue to cement our services as unique services providing excellence in person-centered care. We believe that the people who make up our staff team need to be nurtured too. We offer a service where all team members can see the doctor free of charge. Workplace Support is also available to staff, ensuring that the people who make up our team are assisted to be completely available to the people they care for.
