Avonlea Dementia Care is one of the leading South Island facilities for Dementia & Elderly Care. We are proud of Avonlea's uniqueness. The division of our facility into five separate dementia homes is very special. These homes allow residents to live in small intimate settings with a home-like atmosphere and routine. Staff are also part of each individual home and we attempt to roster them on to the same home whenever possible. This enables the residents and staff to enjoy continuity in their lives.

We have a unique and interesting group of residents here everyone is treated as we would a best friend. The staff's goal is to interact as a best friend would with each resident and their family members. Family and friends are a very important part of the culture of Avonlea.

We provide 24-hour care with excellent 7-day registered nurse cover. We endeavour to keep a high staff to resident ratio to ensure the best possible care for your loved one.
