Our Vision
To create a loving, warm and homely atmosphere where each person is supported to experience each moment richly.
Our Values
We strive to achieve this vision by promoting:
- The uniqueness of each person
- The immense value of each person
- Openness, honesty and integrity
In these ways we enrich each person, the community and the world.
Our staff
Our team cares for and connects with each person who lives at Admatha as we would a very best friend. This means that people feel loved and important.
We:
- accept you as you are
- really listen to you
- love to hear you laugh
- forgive your mistakes
- have fun together
Our team has been hand-picked with great care. We have the knack of working with people with dementia. We know how to love and care for someone as if that person is our very best friend.
We believe that the people who make up our Admatha team need to be nurtured too. Admatha offers a service where all team members can see the doctor free of charge. Workplace Support is given by Chaplaincy Services. This means the people who make up our team are assisted to be completely available to the people they care for.
Sue Denton – Operations Manager
I took over the role of Operations Manager of Admatha Home and Lodge in February 2010, having worked within aged care in both the community and rest home environments, in both care giving roles and administration for the last 15 years.
My goal is to ensure Admatha is a homely, friendly and safe environment for residents, family and staff. I have been extremely impressed at the wonderful support and team work shown throughout both facilities, with everyone striving to achieve the best possible outcomes for each resident.
My focus here at Admatha is to ensure we have good staffing levels so that residents are really well cared for, making sure we meet our legislative obligations, and managing the food service, laundry and housekeeping effectively and to the highest possible standard.
I feel very privileged and excited to be part of the Admatha experience, and look positively toward the future.
Ruth Babonnick - Clinical Manager
Ruth brings nearly thirty years of experience in aged care nursing to her position as Clinical Manager of Admatha Dementia Care. She has specialized in dementia care for the last eight years and has a natural, caring and very experienced way with our hospital level dementia residents.
Ruth is enlivened and challenged by the work she does at Admatha Home and Lodge, from the caring of residents to the family interactions as well as working with such a great team. Ruth’s down to earth nature, experience and use of humour is highly valued by our residents, families and staff.
